ALBAWABA - American officials believe that U.S. President Donald Trump will agree on a decision to expand military operations against Iran in the coming days.
Officials told Fox News that they think Trump would soon make a decision to resume fighting on a large scale. At the same time, they said that "no final decision has been made yet."
Officials added early Tuesday that if Trump orders a resumption of large-scale military operations, the campaign will be "more intense and comprehensive" than the 10 consecutive nights of U.S. airstrikes that began on July 7, targeting Iranian military sites linked to operations around the Strait of Hormuz.
Additionally, one of the officials confirmed that U.S. forces have largely avoided carrying out strikes near Tehran or targeting Iranian nuclear facilities; however, "That could change if it is decided to resume large-scale military operations."
In return, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) said it targeted military facilities in a missile attack at a U.S. base in Jordan. Last Friday, two American service members were killed, one was gone missing, and another four were injured in an Iranian missile attack on a U.S. airbase in Jordan.
Iran's army claimed it targeted "U.S. Amazon infrastructure" in Bahrain with several cruise missiles and destroyed it, according to Tasnim news agency.
