Israeli authorities suspect that a Palestinian national rammed his vehicle into a group of Israeli civilians in the West Bank on Thursday in what is being tentatively treated as a deliberate attack.
The alleged Palestinian assailant has been taken into custody. The arrest took place at an IDF checkpoint which was erected at Gush Etzion Junction nearby.
Magen David Adom rescue service said that it had received a distress call reporting an incident on Route 60 near the old Alon Shvut junction, just southwest of Bethlehem.
MDA said that three people were injured - two of them moderately and one lightly.
The victims, all of whom are 16 years of age, were fully conscious when they were rushed to hospital for treatment.
