Thailand’s Prime Minister Thaksin Chinnawat arrived in Bahrain Monday for a two-day official visit where he is expected to sign a number of trade and economic agreements, in order to strengthen mutual cooperation between both countries.
Upon his arrival, he was received at the airport by Bahrain’s Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa, crown prince and chief of the national defense forces Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa and a number of ministers and officials, Kuwait news agency reported.
According to Thaksin's office, political and economic relations between the two nations would be discussed during the visit, focusing on banking, construction and tourism. (albawaba.com)
