Some Syrian pilgrims will perform the Haj this year at the personal expense of UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as was announced in Damascus, Syria on Tuesday, according to Emirates News Agency.
The UAE Embassy in Damascus has begun preparations to ensure that pilgrims who would be traveling to the Holy land at the President's expenses would perform their Haj under the most convenient conditions. The preparations are being made in cooperation with a specialized Syrian agency. (albawaba.com)
