Syrian Interior Minister, Ali Hamoud received in Damascus Saturday the Iranian Security Minister, Ali Younisi and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, talks focused on the importance of enhancing relations between the two ministries from both countries in various fields, SANA reported.
Hamoud pointed to the strong ties between the two countries, which were established by late President, Hafez al-Assad and late Iranian Imam, Ayat Allah al-Khomayni, and continued by President Bashar al-Assad and his Iranian counterpart, Sayed Mohammed Khatami.
On his part, the Iranian minister stressed the characteristic and strong relations between the two countries under the leadership of the two presidents. In addition, he reiterated Iran's support of the Palestinians rights and of Syria's right to its occupied Golan as well as Lebanon's right to its lands. (Albawaba.com)
