Syrian army airstrikes in Damascus kill at least 30 people

Syrian forces conducted air strikes on the country's capital city of Damascus Wednesday, killing at least 31 people, Reuters reports.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, fighter jets from the regime's air force targeted the rebel held district of Eastern Ghouta, injuring at least 120 more people. 

Earlier today rebel forces shelled Damascus, killing five people and injuring 20 others.
