ALBAWABA - Shock dominated the community in Iraq after dancer and TikToker Malak Fares was found dead inside her house in Erbil.
Authorities in Iraq launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the death and determine the cause.
TikToker Malak Fares, known as "Malouka Al-Fares," was a young content creator and dancer. Her name trended due to her videos and after her body was found inside an apartment in Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
According to initial information circulating, Malak Fares was found dead inside her apartment. Security forces arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the report, a security cordon was imposed, and an official investigation was opened.
The body was transferred to the Department of Forensic Medicine to conduct the necessary examinations and legal autopsy in preparation for determining the exact cause of death.
Some reports claimed that the TikToker plunged to her death from her apartment. However, the police didn't give any information regarding the alleged reports circulating on social media.
Forensic medicine and criminal investigation results
According to the information available so far, the competent authorities in the Kurdistan Region or Iraq have not announced an official and final cause of death, nor have the results of the forensic medicine or criminal investigations been issued that would determine the nature of the incident.
Security investigations into the incident are ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the death. Well-known parties and figures, including the artist Jalal Al-Zein, were questioned before being released after the necessary investigations were conducted.
