A suicide bombing attack in Iraq's capital Baghdad left seven people dead and 31 injured Monday.

According to security sources speaking anonymously since they are not authorized to talk with the media, the suicide bomber detonated himself near a movie theater in Iraq's Shia-populated Baghdad al Jadidah region.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, as the government is yet to issue a statement about it.

Baghdad has been the scene of numerous suicide bomb and terror attacks due to a lack of security. Other recent attacks like this one have been blamed on Daesh.
