ALBAWABA- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan wrapped up his visit to Iraq on Thursday, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations. During his visit to Baghdad, Prince Faisal met with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani at the presidential palace.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation across various sectors and addressing key regional and international issues.
Prince Faisal conveyed the wishes of Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for continued progress and prosperity for Iraq.
The two leaders also reviewed current regional developments, including the ongoing Israeli military aggression on Gaza.
They underscored the need for joint Arab efforts and international coordination to address the crisis.
The visit underscores a deepening relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, following the reopening of the Saudi embassy in Baghdad in 2015 after a 25-year hiatus.
The countries have since signed numerous agreements and maintained regular diplomatic engagements.
