In the third attack within 24 hours, a commercial ship was targeted off the coast of Hodeida, Yemen, early Wednesday morning, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

The vessel, sailing 77 nautical miles from shore, was approached by two small boats carrying armed men. The ship's captain initially reported a brief exchange of fire after the boats attempted communication.

As the vessel tried to distance itself by 2 nautical miles, it was struck twice by unknown projectiles.

Houthi leader Abdul Malik Al Houthi has claimed responsibility for 21 attacks carried out this week using drones, boats, and missiles.

Meanwhile, the Houthi military spokesperson has announced that a statement will be released tonight at 9:00 PM, providing further details on these operations.
