Saudi FM announces five-day ceasefire in Yemen to begin May 12

The foreign minister of Saudi Arabia has said that a five-day ceasefire in Yemen will begin May 12 at 11pm, Reuters has reported.

Foreign minister Adel al-Jubeir said that the pause in fighting may be extended, depending on the compliance of Houthi rebels and groups supporting them.

The comments were made at a news conference in Paris.
