The national conference on the reform of justice opened Monday in Algeria in the presence of a large number of local and international specialists. The main goal of this two-day event, according to the country's Justice Minister Tayeb Belaiz in his opening address, is to draw an assessment and set prospects for the reform of justice, a process initiated five years ago with the appointment of the National Commission for the Reform of Justice by President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, APS reported.
In his speech on Tuesday the Algerian president himself said the reform of justice is a “vital and urgent necessity that cannot be delayed.”
