The Popular Opera of Vienna was hosted recently by the Russian Culture and Science Center in Tunisia. The event that was organized by the Austrian Embassy in Tunis with cooperation of the Russian Embassy.
<i>La Presse</i> reports that the rich program of the event included music of composers such as Mozart, Verdi, Tchaikovski and Johann Strauss, as well as Heinrich Strecker and Robert Stolz, who mainly composed typical songs of Vienna. The event was directed by the young baritone-bass, Steffen Russler and the renowned pianist Margit Fussi.
