As many as two million pilgrims moved early Monday morning from Mina, where they spent the night, to Arafat.

The pilgrims will spend the day in Arafat and return to Muzdalifa after sunset in line with the teachings of Prophet Mohammad. The Pilgrims' standing in Arafat is the pinnacle of Hajj.

The official Saudi Press Agency reported that thanks to the excellent arrangements made by the Saudi authorities, the pilgrims moved to Arafat without any major problems.

The pilgrims are scheduled to perform Monday prayers collectively at Al-Namirah Mosque in Arafat and will spend the night in Muzdalifa.

After sunrise on Tuesday, they will return to Mina, where they will throw stones at "Jamarat," sacrifice animals and cut their hair. On the same day, they will move to Makkah to perform the ritual of Tawaf (perambulation) around the Holy Kaaba. (Albawaba.com)
