The regional manager of the Algerian trade ministry in Wahran on Sunday revealed that the new draft law for protecting consumers will be ready soon and will be submitted to the government during the next few days.

This law, according to Mr. Bawras Maymun, is meant to replace law No. 82/02, which is no longer matching Algeria's economic situation following the reforms it underwent. The new law will emphasize issues in relation to the health and safety of the consumer and the sanctions against those who break the law.
