New Ambassador of Greece to Tehran Marcarious Karafotias met in Tehran Saturday with President Seyed Mohammad Khatami and submitted his credentials.
In the meeting, President Khatami referring to Greece`s ancient civilization and said, "The rich Islamic logic and philosophy take roots in rich Greek philosophy."
According to <i>IRNA</i>, the president pointed out that the reciprocal visits by senior officials of the two countries are very important in expansion and promotion of relations.
