ALBAWABA - December 29, 2024 Channel 12 in Israel reports that Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Netanyahu, 75, made the statement as he gets ready for surgery on Sunday to remove his prostate.
When Netanyahu was evaluated last Wednesday at Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital, medical professionals discovered a benign prostate enlargement associated with a urinary tract infection. According to his office, the illness was treated with medication and has now been effectively eradicated.
Netanyahu's staff announced that Sunday's Cabinet meeting will go on as planned despite his health issues.
In recent years, Netanyahu has had a number of medical operations. He had surgery to repair a hernia in March, and after treating heart issues, physicians inserted a pacemaker in July 2023.
The public was reassured by the prime minister's office that Netanyahu is getting the medical attention he needs and is still actively doing his job.
