ALBAWABA- In an escalating threat, Hezbollah's Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, has issued strong warnings to Israel and Cyprus, signaling the potential for a comprehensive war. This comes amid reports from Israeli media and military actions on both sides.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Defense Minister stated, "Hezbollah started the war and we must change the situation."
According to Edioth Ahronoth, a senior political official warned, "If Hezbollah continues to attack us, the south of Lebanon will look like Gaza, and there will be no immunity for Beirut."
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks on Israeli positions. They reported targeting Israeli soldiers at Al-Baghdadi’s position with a drone, causing direct hits.
Further assaults included targeting movements of Israeli soldiers at the Raheb site and bombarding the Israeli site of Jal al-Alam with artillery shells, resulting in confirmed casualties.
In his televised speech, Hasan Nasrallah declared, "Our martyrdom is a victory, not a defeat. The battle on its Lebanese front has inflicted significant material, moral, and psychological losses on the enemy. If what is happening is normal on the southern front, why seek to stop it, and why shout, intimidate, wail, and threaten?"
Nasrallah emphasized that storming Galilee remains an option if the confrontation escalates. He continued, "The enemy hides its losses on the northern front but cannot conceal the number of evacuated settlements.
Since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa flood, a global media effort has aimed to belittle the resistance fronts' actions in Gaza. Forty-two colonies were completely evacuated, and life was disrupted in many others."
He also highlighted the broader strategic impact, stating, "Pressure from the Lebanon front and the steadfastness in Gaza influence negotiations.
The Yemen front reveals American-British failure and Israel's inability to fight effectively. They couldn't protect Israeli ships, a colossal failure for the world's leading naval fleets."
Nasrallah underscored Hezbollah's preparedness and intelligence capabilities: "The Israeli enemy knows its positions will be targeted, and we have comprehensive information about their fortifications and equipment. We have fought with part of our arsenal so far and have obtained new weapons. The enemy's threats do not scare us; we are prepared for the worst days."
Nasrallah concluded with a stark warning to Cyprus: "Opening your airports and bases to the enemy to target Lebanon means you have become part of the war."
Notably, Israeli Channel 13 noted that Nasrallah's threats indicate that no settlement or Biden envoy has succeeded in imposing any terms, and if the war in Gaza continues, so will the escalation in the north.
