Hezbollah launches massive drone and missile attacks on Israeli military sites

Tensions between Hezbollah and Israeli forces have significantly escalated over the past 48 hours following the assassination of Hezbollah commander Sami Abdullah, known as Hajj Abu Talib, and three of his assistants in a recent raid.

ALBAWABA- Hezbollah has announced a series of air attacks using swarms of attack drones on Israeli military sites. They reported a successful second drone assault on the Israeli Katsavia barracks. 

Hezbollah announced that they targeted a military vehicle in the Yiftah Triangle, leading to its destruction and causing deaths and injuries to those inside. 

According to Israeli media outlet Maariv, two people sustained minor injuries from an anti-tank missile fired at a car in the Upper Galilee.

Additionally, Hezbollah claimed to have attacked Israeli intelligence centers at the Mishar base in the occupied Golan Heights and fired two missiles at the Israeli military site Zabdin in the occupied Shebaa Farms.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, five drones infiltrated northern Israeli towns within an hour, causing continuous sirens. 

An Israeli army spokesman confirmed that their air defenses intercepted three aerial targets in the Golan. In response, Israeli planes bombed Hezbollah infrastructure in the southern Deir Saryan area of Southern Lebanon.

Israeli media also reported the launch of an anti-tank missile in the north.

Tensions between Hezbollah and Israeli forces have significantly escalated over the past 48 hours following the assassination of Hezbollah commander Sami Abdullah, known as Hajj Abu Talib, and three of his assistants in a recent raid.

 In retaliation, Hezbollah launched hundreds of missiles and dozens of drones on Israeli sites and settlements, resulting in massive fires and damage. 

There are growing fears of a broader escalation between Lebanon and Israel, with Israeli threats to intensify their raids.
