Contrary to what Nabila Ebeid’s latest movie, Imra’a That El Muraqaba (Woman Under Surveillance) suggests; the actress was not watched by many at all!
Despite her successful efforts to convince the distributors and producers of the movie to push more advertising and promotion its way, the film flopped and dropped down the charts at warp speed.
According to Al Sharq El Awsat newspaper, the actress believes that the reason behind the film’s failure is a conspiracy against her.
The London based daily reported that although the movie had made 143, 000 Egyptian Pounds in its third week, the movie’s fourth time around grossed no more than 40,000; making it the lowest grossing film Ebeid has ever acted in – Albawaba.com.
