Morocco and Spain signed in Rabat over the weekend a partnership agreement concerning Morocco's literacy campaign in its northern provinces, which are heavily influenced by Spain and Spanish culture. The Spanish Agency for International Cooperation has allocated a budget of 950,000 Euro.
Anis Birrou, responsible for literacy in the Moroccan ministry of education and the Spanish Ambassador to Morocco Luis Planas, plan to implement the project in the regions of Tanger-Tйtouan, Taza-Al Hoceima and l'Oriental, according to a press release of the Moroccan ministry of education.
The project is intended to attract a broad range of trainers including academics, NGOs and volunteers. (albawaba.com)
