Moroccan King launches national initiative for human development

King Mohammed launched the first phase of NIHD (National Initiative for Human Development) in Tetouan on Wednesday September 7. Le Matin reports that the first phase of the project will cost 75,003,730 dirhams and will envisage the realization of 53 social projects covering 16 rural communes and 40,000 people. The program aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and to increase life standards of Moroccan people. The NIHD include major strategic projects such as the construction of basic infrastructure for the supply of drinking water, drainage and the development of socio-educational programs and human resources programs.
