The Syrian News Agency reported that Israeli artillery has targeted multiple locations in the Daraa countryside, including the Saham al-Golan area and the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa.

ALBAWABA- Explosions rocked the occupied Syrian Golan Heights late Tuesday night as air raid sirens blared across the southern region. 

According to Israeli media, two Grad rockets were launched from the city of Daraa in southern Syria, landing in open areas within the Golan Heights. 

Channel 12 reported that this marks the first missile attack from Syrian territory toward the occupied area since the fall of the Assad regime.

In response, Israeli warplanes entered Syrian airspace, breaking the sound barrier before launching retaliatory strikes on what it claimed were the sources of the rocket fire. 

The Syrian News Agency reported that Israeli artillery has targeted multiple locations in the Daraa countryside, including the Saham al-Golan area and the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa. 

Meanwhile, Israel’s Army Radio confirmed that the rockets launched earlier from Syria originated from the Tsil area, an area where Israeli forces have conducted several recent military operations.

Israeli forces have conducted hundreds of airstrikes across Syria over the past six months, targeting military installations and infrastructure. 

These operations, often justified by Israel as “preemptive,” have intensified notably since the collapse of the Assad regime, causing extensive damage to Syria’s remaining military assets.

Israel continues to occupy parts of southern Syria, including the strategic Jabal al-Sheikh area, which overlooks Damascus.
