Miss Universe Contest to be Held in Sharm al-Sheikh Late February

The "Miss Universe" pageant will be held for the first time in Sharm al-Sheikh, Egypt, later this month, where 60 beauty queens will compete for the miss universe title. 

 

The Cairo-based Al-Ahram daily reported that the winning Miss Universe will be the ambassador of her country for one year, whereas the other contestants will be put under the spotlight, that would open doors of opportunities in the world of cinemas and modeling.  

 

The daily added, that the Italian president and the governor of south Sinai will sponsor the pageant. The pageant will be attended by actors and famous international figures that would participate in the judging committee.  

 

The daily said that holding this international competition in Sharm al-Sheikh would be a highly significant for the Egyptian tourism, as it would be under the spotlight of journalists, photographers and the international satellite channels. (Albawaba.com)
