For the first time in history, a mass wedding was arranged for Arab widows, men and women, in Saw Paulo, Brazil, a country of 4 million Arabs. According to Sayidaty magazine, the main purpose behind the wedding was to encourage widows, men and women, to never give up and rather open to life again by finding the new partner that suits them. Fifteen widowed women were married to fifteen widowed men descending from Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi, and Egyptian nationalities in a mass wedding that took place in one of the city halls.
