Shirley Maclaine has had enough of the Hollywood quest for the
perfect figure, which is always deemed to be skinny, because it
means they are unable to act well.
The actress can't understand how actresses to spend all their
time worrying about their size can put in a good performance when
they are too busy counting the calories.
Shirley says, "I met an actress the other day who said see
couldn't wait to have a chocolate chip cookie on Saturday. But I
just say to them, how can you act?
"Where do you get the energy from to act? And I think it's a
dangerous role model for women to look up to because how is anyone
going to be that skinny?
"Unless they have so little self esteem they can do nothing else
but worry about their appearance and what they eat” – WENN.
