Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) today introduced an entire new line of colour laser multifunction products (MFPs) to help businesses get more done with colour.
"Leading businesses around the world have benefited from improved processes and reduced costs with Lexmark's award-winning monochrome multifunction technology," said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. "With this new line, customers now have more ways to leverage the power of color and our proven workflow solutions from the same device."
Lexmark's new color laser MFP lineup features five new products: the Lexmark X782e, X940e and X945e for business workgroups, and the Lexmark X500n and X502n for small businesses and desktop users.
The Lexmark X782e, X940e and X945e deliver outstanding print quality and feature reliable performance to meet the demands of busy workgroups. Customers can use these workhorses to print color on a wide variety of documents, including difficult media like heavy card stock and vinyl labels and specialty papers like weather- and fade-resistant outdoor media and oversized banners. Customers can also save time and money by using these devices to print brochures, signage and invitations in house.
The Lexmark X782e, X940e and X945e feature Lexmark's award-winning eTask color touchscreen interface, which can be customized to simplify complicated processes to the touch of an icon. This interface drives Lexmark's industry-specific workflow solutions, which are designed to help customers in industries like retail, banking, health care, government, manufacturing and education improve paper-based processes.
For example, within the banking industry, Lexmark has helped customers develop solutions that simplify the loan application process to a single icon on Lexmark's eTask interface, reducing the completion time from days to hours. With Lexmark's new line of color laser MFPs, those customers can drive the same process improvements on a device that can also be used to print professional color brochures and fliers, helping drive additional sales for the bank.
The Lexmark X782e prints at speeds up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) in color and 40 ppm in monochrome for an estimated street price of 4 539.00 USD*. The Lexmark X940e offers print speeds up to 30 ppm in color and 40 ppm in monochrome, as well as A3 ledger or tabloid printing capabilities and extensive finishing options such as folding and booklets for 11 579.00 USD**.
