The secretary General of Immigration at the Catalonian government, Adela Ross, who arrived recently for a three-day visit in Morocco, conveyed that the naturalization process of Moroccan expatriates in Spain is proceeding in "a very satisfactory manner." According to Spanish sources, more than 6,000 requests for naturalization have been submitted so far by Moroccan emigrants since the beginning of the process on February 7.

This is the largest naturalization process that was ever launched in Spain. It might eventually include about 800,000 immigrants, currently residing illegally in Spain, including about 100,000 Moroccans.
