Organized by the Moroccan Justice and Reconciliation Commission (IER), a national forum was held from 30 September until 2 October in Rabat. Le Matin reports that Justice and Reconciliation Commission set up in Morocco in January 2004 to look into cases of arbitrary detention and violation of human rights. The program of the Forum included four workshops and the evaluation of a survey carried on female victims of human rights. Both representatives of local human rights associations and international human rights associations, such as Alex Borraine, president of the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ-New York), Ruth Robio (expert at the ICTJ) and Frej Fennich (Office of the High Commissioner for the Human Rights), will participate in the Forum.
