Jeddah hosts the luxurious cars in the world

The Fourth Edition of EXCS International Exhibition for luxurious cars opened its doors on the 12th of October at Hilton Jeddah showcasing the best automobile market .this event sponsored by Saudia Private Aviation, Rafal and Mobil1 held under the patronage of the Saudi's Minister of Transportation. The EXCS Luxury Motor show began in 2006 and since then luxury auto lovers have eagerly waiting for the next one.

The event which will be held until the 14th of October attracted hundreds who enjoy luxury, state –of- the art features, and the latest high tech in cars, coupes, 4WDs and sedans. Each stand of exhibitors featured their latest designs and visitors saw the unveilings of number show cars and production vehicles.

Among the highlights were Cadillac STS, CL-Class and R-Class from Mercedes-Benz, Audi A8. Lexus IS F. Maserati Award Edition, Aston Martin Rapid, the most expensive car in the world Weizmann, Italian state of art Pagani and Rolls Royce Ghost .

In this occasion, Abdullah Al-Shamasi, ECO of EXCS, stated that "the exhibition is in response to the market trend and the increasing demand for such luxurious cars; and in spite of the international financial crises the Saudi market did not plummet which is an indication of such dynamic and strong market". In addition, Mr. Al-Shamasi said that the cars to participate in such exhibition reflects the demand for such category and the style we adopt", Al-Shamasi continued saying "the participation in such exhibition is 100% by luxurious cars dealers, whereby visitors can see for the first time cars that never exhibited before including the fastest car worldwide according to Gunnies Record.

Furthermore, "we have received many proposals from European countries as well as the United States of America, hence the exhibition when held at Riyadh last year showed that the visitors where overwhelmed by the types of cars exhibited.

As to the luxurious cars market in Saudi Arabia, Al-Shamasi indicated that the Saudi market is the largest in the region, thus 50% of total sales in the Arabian Gulf was sold in Saudi Arabia, 60% of which is luxurious cars. Accordingly, we adopted the concept of such exhibitions that aims to exhibit luxurious cars systematically. For information purposes, the market share of luxurious cars in Saudi Arabia is SR 30 billion and as a result prominent manufacturers depend heavily in such market. A total of 500 luxurious cars were sold during 2009 in spite of the international financial crises.

Moreover, He indicated that there are more than 20 auto companies are participating in this exhibition with a total value of exceeding tens of million of Saudi Riyals along with specialized firms who received special invitations from the organizers to participate.

Finally, Al-Shamasi said that "we anticipate 25000 visitors including numerous VIP and dignitaries and others who have special interests in luxurious cars. Last but not least, the visitors shall be able to see the most expensive cars ever some of which is worth SR 7 million.
