Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Zayed Center for Coordination and Follow up (ZCCF), received on Tuesday James Baker, Former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the James Baker III Center, who is currently on a visit to the country.
According to Emirates News Agency (WAM), Sheikh Sultan greeted Baker and expressed appreciation and respect for his diplomatic efforts to achieve international peace and ease conflicts throughout the world.
Sheikh Sultan expressed that the recent international changes necessitate the significance of opening international dialogue to advance tolerance and exchange of views.
In addition, Sheikh Sultan said that a joint effort between ZCCF and James Baker centers could contribute in enhancing international dialogue.
For his part, Baker expressed his happiness in visiting the UAE and praised the wise leadership of UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Baker had delivered a lecture at ZCCF on the topic of world challenges following the September 11 attacks. (Albawaba.com)
