Jacky's Electronics, UAE’s number one multi-brand retailer, expects a 30 per cent increase in sales during this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). The leading retailer also projects LCD and Plasma TVs will be the most in-demand products during DSS.
Mall footfall figures are estimated to escalate up to 40 per cent due to the region’s largest summer festival’s exciting promotions and activities.
“Since the launch of DSS, summer in Dubai has become a tourism season people look forward to every year. DSS always sets new benchmarks in value shopping and its activities continuously attract large footfall in malls,” said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky’s Electronics.
“One of the major driver’s of the jump in LCD and Plasma TV sales has been the Euro 2008 football tournament and the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing. As customers are seeking to upgrade their home appliances during the summer, there will be a boost in the products sales of LCD and Plasma TV. The demand has been particularly strong for larger size screens especially in the 52”, 65” and even the 103” segment which is now displayed at Jacky’s outlet on Dubai Airport Road,” he added.
Jacky’s Electronics’ summer deals target customers who are looking to upgrade their appliances as well as tourists looking for affordable electronic products to take home as gifts. Aside from flat-screen TVs, other high-value products such as laptops and digital cameras are becoming preferred gift gadgets.
