ALBAWABA - The Israeli army carried out new airstrikes on Monday morning in multiple areas in Lebanon, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

According to NNA, at exactly 6:30 in the morning, the Israeli warplanes launched more than 80 airstrikes within half an hour targeting more than one site in Nabatieh city.

The official Lebanese news agency also added that other strikes hit targets in Marjaayoun, Nabatieh, Jabour, Midoun, and Qatrani hills. Israeli surveillance and combat aircraft continue to fly in the skies of southern Lebanon.

"We advise civilians from Lebanese villages located in and next to buildings and areas used by Hezbollah for military purposes, such as those used to store weapons, to immediately move out of harm's way for their own safety," Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari said.

He added: "The IDF (military) will engage in (more) extensive and precise strikes against terror targets which have been embedded widely throughout Lebanon."

This comes a day after Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets targeting Haifa and Nazareth. Multiple were injured in the Hezbollah attack in Israel.

Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed group claimed that it hit Israel’s Ramat David Airbase, east of Haifa confirming that the attack was "in response to the repeated Israeli attacks that targeted various Lebanese regions and led to the fall of many civilian martyrs."

Israel's army struck an eight-storey building on Friday targeting a meeting hosting members of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Forces in the Beirut suburb leading to the death of 45 people and injuring about 60 others.

Moreover, the Lebanese movement confirmed the death of two of its top commanders, Ibrahim Aqil and Ahmad Mahmoud Wahabi, along with 12 other members.
