According to Channel 12, the strikes specifically targeted senior political and military leaders of the Houthi movement, though there is no confirmation yet on whether the assassination attempts succeeded.

ALBAWABA- Israeli media reported Thursday that the Israeli army carried out at least 10 airstrikes on multiple locations in Yemen, including the capital Sana’a, where a series of powerful explosions rocked Jabal Attan, west of the city.

According to Channel 12, the strikes specifically targeted senior political and military leaders of the Houthi movement, though there is no confirmation yet on whether the assassination attempts succeeded.

Israeli sources told the channel that the operations had been planned earlier in the week as part of a broader campaign. Channel 14 added that several Houthi leaders were present at the targeted site. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority also confirmed the strikes aimed at top Houthi figures.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the operation involved both the Israeli Air Force and Navy, and was approved by Defense Minister Katz, Chief of Staff Zamir, and the army’s leadership. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reportedly briefed via a secure red line.

The strikes come just 24 hours after the Houthis claimed responsibility for launching a hypersonic missile at Ben Gurion Airport, in retaliation for last Sunday’s Israeli strikes on Yemen that killed six people, wounded 86 others, and damaged power plants and infrastructure.

In a statement, the Houthis vowed to continue confronting what they described as “Israeli atrocities in support of Gaza,” warning of further retaliation.
