ALBAWBA - Amnesty International's investigation has uncovered sufficient evidence to determine that Israel has committed and continues to commit genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, the organization stated in a major new report released today.
The report, 'You Feel Like You Are Subhuman': Israel's Genocide Against Palestinians in Gaza, documents how Israel unleashed hell and destruction on Palestinians in Gaza brazenly, continuously, and with complete impunity during its aggression since October 7.
Secretary General of Amnesty International, Agnès Callamard, stated "Amnesty International’s report demonstrates that Israel has carried out acts prohibited under the Genocide Convention, with the specific intent to destroy Palestinians in Gaza, These acts include killings, causing serious bodily or mental harm and deliberately inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza".
"Month after month, Israel has treated Palestinians in Gaza as a subhuman group unworthy of human rights and dignity, demonstrating its intent to physically destroy them," Callamard added.
The investigation continued to argue that Israel has persisted in committing genocidal acts, fully aware of the irreparable harm it was inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza.
Amnesty International investigated Israel's actions in Gaza extensively and comprehensively, taking into account the repeated and simultaneous, as well as their immediate impact and cumulative and mutually reinforcing consequences.
The organization examined the extent and severity of the casualties and destruction over time. It also examined public statements by officials, discovering that prohibited actions were frequently publicized or advocated for by high-level officials in command of the Israeli Army.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 44,532+ people, with more than 105,538+ injuries.
