ALBAWABA - At least twin blasts were reported near Haziz power plant in Yemen's Sana, local sources revealed on Sunday morning.
According to the media, the explosions caused temporary outages, and the Yemeni government accused Israel of carrying out the attacks.
Shortly after being accused, an Israeli military source confirmed the attack, saying the army hit an "energy infrastructure site" in Yemen used by the Houthis.
Houthi civil defense teams were dispatched to the location of the explosions, the Haziz power plant, and are working to put out the flames at the generators.
Houthi media said that the explosion had halted operations in the southern part of the city.
Ynet news reported, citing Mashal al-Rifi, the CEO of the Sanaa Electric Corporation, who confirmed the facility "was under attack, causing a temporary power outage."
