Three rockets fired by Iranian agents hit houses in Baghdad before dawn on Sunday, wounding one civilian, the official Iraqi News Agency (INA) said, warning of revenge.
"Assassins paid by Iran committed an odious crime against peace-loving citizens, wounding one person and causing physical damage in a residential district of Baghdad," a security spokesman told INA.
He said they had fired three 120mm rockets at 2:00 a.m. (2200 GMT Saturday) and damaged several homes.
"The Iranian regime is entirely to blame for this hideous act which will not go unpunished," he warned.
The raid appeared to be the latest in a series of attacks carried out in Iraq and Iran by opposition groups sheltered by the two neighbors who fought a murderous war between 1980 and 1988.
