ALBAWABA- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed on Tuesday that Iran will not let any act of aggression go unanswered, referencing Israel's October 26 attack.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart in Tehran, Araghchi emphasized that Iran considers itself entitled to respond as part of its defensive policy.
"We have clearly stated that Israel's aggression is a new act of hostility. How and when we respond will be decided based on the appropriate manner and timing of our choosing," said Araghchi.
He added, "Iran has proven throughout its history that we neither rush nor delay. We respond precisely at the right time."
The foreign minister also addressed Iran's broader stance on international pressure, particularly from the United States.
"When the US pursued maximum pressure, Iran adopted maximum resistance, leading to the failure of their strategy—something even US officials now admit," Araghchi noted.
On nuclear matters, Iran has offered not to expand its stockpile of uranium enriched up to 60% purity—approaching weapons-grade levels—according to confidential reports from the UN nuclear watchdog seen on Tuesday.
Additionally, Iran has agreed to consider designating four more experienced International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, marking a potential step towards cooperation with global nuclear oversight.
Araghchi reiterated Iran's commitment to prudent and deliberate decision-making, underlining its preference for calculated responses over hasty reactions.
