ALBAWABA- A ballistic missile launched from Lebanon struck a shopping mall in Tel Aviv on Sunday, prompting the temporary closure of Ben Gurion International Airport.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Hezbollah missile bypassed air defenses, leading to significant damage, and a Power outage in some Tel Aviv neighborhoods.

The Israeli army later clarified that the strike resulted from a failed interceptor missile deployment.

The Israeli army spokesperson stated: "Following the alerts activated in central Israel, the Air Force intercepted a missile over Lebanese territory. However, a fall was detected, apparently caused by fragments of the interception."

Israeli media confirmed the disruption at Ben Gurion Airport, highlighting the heightened security concerns. The incident marks a significant escalation, with Tel Aviv described as "burning" by some local outlets.
