Iranian and Turkish border customs authorities have agreed to streamline border formalities and improve facilities for faster service to truck divers and travelers, Iran Daily reported Sunday.
According to the paper, in Thursday’s meeting, the head of Iran’s Customs Administration, Mehdi Karbasian, and his Turkish counterpart Nuzad Saigoli-Oghli have reviewed the current bottlenecks that impede services at the two countries and stressed the need to solve problems.
The Turkish official also indicated the concern of his government about drug trafficking across the border of Iran and Turkey and said his government would offer every possible assistance to the Iranian government for combating the problem, the daily said – Albawaba.com
