ALBAWABA- Iranian state media reported that Ali Mohammad Naeini, spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, indicated that the timeline for Iran's retaliation against Israel could be extended.

Naeini stated, "Time is on our side, and the wait for this response may be long," hinting at a measured and deliberate form of retribution.

Naeini further emphasized that Israel should anticipate a "calculated and precise" response. According to Reuters, Iranian leaders meticulously evaluate all options, signaling that Tehran’s retaliation will differ from previous operations.

The Middle East remains on high alert as Iran prepares for the promised response, following the July 31 assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran during the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Bezkian.

While Israel has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has hinted at heightened defensive and offensive preparations, likely in anticipation of Iran's next move.

Despite initial reports suggesting a possible direct and imminent Iranian attack, subsequent information points to internal debate within Iran's leadership regarding the nature of their response.

President Masoud Bezkian reportedly prioritizes economic reform and international relations, expressing concerns over the potential repercussions of a retaliatory strike.

In a recent press release, Iran's mission to the United Nations asserted the country's right to self-defense, while expressing hope that any response would be timed to avoid undermining ongoing ceasefire efforts in Gaza.

However, the statement was notably ambiguous, leaving the timing and specifics of Iran's planned action open to interpretation.
