Iran, France Sign Contract to Set up Ethylene Cracker Factory

Two Iranian companies have signed with a French company Tuesday a contract to build a factory to produce ethylene cracker, reported Iran News Agency (IRNA).  

Iran's Pars Petrochemical Company has ordered for the project while France's Tech Nip Company and Iran's Nargan Consulting Engineers Company are the contractors, said the agency.  

The project will cost Euros 200 million, which includes carrying out basic and detailed engineering, providing equipment, supervision of the construction work and rendering training services.  

The French company is committed to use the state of the art technology in building the factory, added IRNA.  

The project will take 28 months to be completed and will be funded by various financial sources.  

The factory will be the ninth Ethylene producing complex in Iran and one of the biggest in the world. It will produce one million tons of ethylene annually and will be constructed at Oslavieh Pars special economic area, according to the agency - Albawaba.com
