The Iranian government has condemned the "ruthless massacre of Palestinians by the Zionist regime occupying the holy Qods", reported Iran News Agency (IRNA) quoting a statement as saying.

During a cabinet meeting, officials voiced Iran's support for the rightful struggle of the Palestinian nation, said IRNA.

At least 33 Palestinians killed and more than one thousand wounded in four days of clashes.

The cabinet ministers also urged the international community, including the United Nations, to "unveil the true nature of the Zionist regime which has attempted to hide its aggressive objectives behind a peace-seeking mask over the past few years, and to prevent further bloodshed in the region."

IRNA said that the Iranian government warned that any indifference or appeasement on the part of the World of Islam will only "serve to encourage the criminal Zionist regime and its army as well as their supporters." - Albawaba.com
