Middle Eastern holiday makers can enjoy fast paced beach volley ball this summer – at the same time as enjoying a cool mountain retreat.

The picturesque city of Lausanne on the shores of Lake Geneva will be hosting an international beach volleyball tournament this August and competitors will include Olympiads and world-ranking players from more than ten different countries.

The Beau Rivage Palace, a luxury Swiss retreat favoured by Kings, Queens, movie stars and politicians alike, will be welcoming sports enthusiasts who want to combine their holiday with a strong element of relaxation.

Azouz Masrouki, the hotel’s Middle Eastern advisor said: “The International beach tournament is an extremely exciting event in the Lausanne calendar. But we have found that while Middle Eastern guests enjoy watching the exhilarating sport, they chose to stay with us because they value their relaxation time just as highly.”

Surrounded by acres of private parkland sweeping down to the shores of Lake Geneva, the Beau-Rivage Palace is an oasis of peace and sheer luxury. Guests can enjoy use of the hotel’s fitness centre and tennis courts and can also take boat trips on the lake from the nearby quayside.

Guests can also arrange for limousines to whisk them off in style to the volleyball matches being held at the Vidy-Coubertin beach.

The tournament is being held between August 10 and 14 and entry to each of the matches is free. Middle East travellers wanting to make reservations can e-mail the Beau-Rivage Palace team at [email protected] or telephone + 41 21 613 3333.
