iHorizons successfully launches internship program Preparing students for business success

iHorizons, Qatar’s leading Business Process Solution (BPR) and software development company, recently launched its first internship program, giving two students from Carnegie Mellon the chance to get gain valuable real life work experience.

- Our interns are given practical experiences and challenges from day one. We aim for a very steep learning curve, and aim for the interns to be fully integrated within the organisation within the seven weeks they are here. We are an organisation that is experiencing great growth and attracting and retaining talent is key for our business success, said Mr. Khalid Halaweh, Country Manager of iHorizons.

The internship sees the students working within the Sales and Business Development department of the company, giving the interns challenges from day one in facing highly skilled clients throughout the region. Students are mentored throughout the seven weeks of the programme, ensuring that the interns are comfortable in all aspects of iHorizons business operations.

The interns are full of praise of the program, highlighting the level of responsibility given to them from an early stage.
