ALBAWABA - Two major military operations in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea have been declared by the Ansar Allah organization, often known as the Houthis. The military spokesman for the organization, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, issued a statement outlining the assaults.
According to Brigadier General Saree, ballistic missiles were used in the initial operation to attack the cargo ship "Transworld Navigator" in the Arabian Sea. The ship owner allegedly broke a rule against accessing ports in occupied Palestine, which prompted this assault.
In the second operation, ballistic and cruise missiles were used to attack the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, an aircraft carrier, north of the Red Sea. Saree emphasized that the actions were intended to promote the Palestinian cause and said that both strikes were effective.
According to Saree, until Israeli aggression stops and the blockade of Gaza is removed, the Houthi armed forces will continue their combat operations in support of the Palestinian people. He issued a warning, saying that in retaliation for American and British efforts against Yemen, the Houthis will keep attacking hostile foreign vessels in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea.
The Houthis have been attacking Israeli or Israel-affiliated cargo ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones since November, 2023, when Israel's assault on Gaza began on October 7. Since the start of the year, the United States and Britain have attacked Houthi sites in Yemen with missiles and airstrikes in response.
In response, the Houthis expanded their strikes to include ships in the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean, and any region within their missile range. They also declared all American and British ships to be valid military targets.
