ALBAWABA- The Houthi-run Ministry of Home Affairs in Yemen has declared the apprehension of an extensive American-Israeli spy network, operating clandestinely for decades within Yemen.
According to the Ministry's statement, the network, directly linked to the CIA, engaged in espionage and subversion across official and unofficial sectors, facilitating the transfer of sensitive information to American and Israeli intelligence agencies.
The network's activities extended beyond traditional espionage, impacting various aspects of Yemeni life. They exploited diplomatic roles at the U.S. Embassy and continued operations under humanitarian covers post-2015.
Efforts from Yemeni security agencies culminated in the capture of key operatives, exposing the network's extensive influence.
Their schemes encompassed economic, military, health, educational, and agricultural sectors, aiming to undermine Yemen's stability and sovereignty.
The revelation underscores the persistence of foreign interference despite diplomatic shifts, emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance against external threats to Yemen's integrity and security, as per the statement.
