ALBAWABA- Reuters reported that two British naval agencies confirmed that two ships caught fire after being struck by missiles off the coast of Aden in southern Yemen.
According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations Authority, an incident occurred 70 nautical miles southwest of Aden. Ambry Maritime Security Company detailed efforts to extinguish a fire aboard a cargo ship bombed by a missile 83 nautical miles south of Aden.
In a recent escalation, the Houthis in Yemen have intensified their missile attacks on vessels bound for Israel in the Red and Arab Seas, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.
This marks the fourth stage of their campaign, during which they have unveiled the use of new missiles for the first time.
Additionally, they disclosed joint operations with Iraqi resistance forces targeting arms shipments in Haifa port, Israel.
Houthi leader Abdul Malik Al Houthi has threatened further escalation as long as Israeli actions against Palestinians continue. He emphasized that Yemeni solidarity with the Palestinian people will persist as the conflict in Gaza endures.
