Gorgan flash floods have hit five villages in the eastern part of Iran, triggered by torrential rains since early Tuesday, Tahran Daily reported.
The floods have damaged residential and commercial buildings of the villages, sweeping off the agricultural lands, without causing casualties, the paper added.
An official in charge of Natural Disasters Department was quoted by the daily as saying that relief operations are underr way in flood-stricken areas - Albawaba.com
