ALBAWABA - Hamas Group and Islamic Jihad halted negotiations with Israel after its Tuesday strike that killed Hamas leader Saleh Al-Arouri.

Al-Sharq news reported citing sources that resistance groups asked Egypt to immediately halt any negotiations regarding a ceasefire in Gaza following the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri.

The head of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh confirmed that the killing of Al-Arouri "proves the bloodshed that Israel is wreaking havoc on our people everywhere." He further stressed that it will not succeed in breaking the will to persevere and resist.

Saleh Al-Arouri, who is the deputy chairman of Hamas's political bureau, was killed in an Israeli raid on his office in the southern suburb of Beirut.

Al-Arouri, known to be the architect of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, was killed along with two other Al-Qassam leaders, Samir Findi and Azzam Al-Aqraa.
